How to Install (Chrome Sideload)

  1. 1Download the zip file above and extract it to a folder on your computer.
  2. 2Open chrome://extensions in your Chrome browser.
  3. 3Enable Developer Mode using the toggle in the top-right corner.
  4. 4Click Load unpacked and select the extracted extension folder.
  5. 5The extension icon appears in your toolbar. Visit your Neuron dashboard, browse Instagram or Twitter, and click Connect.
  6. 6Connect to your AI agent. Run npx neuron-inspector in your terminal, then add to Claude Code: claude mcp add neuron-inspector -- npx neuron-inspector

Connect to Claude Code (optional)

The built-in tools work immediately from the popup — no setup needed. To also give your AI agent access, register the MCP bridge server and all 177 tools become available in your AI coding session.

One-time setup

Open Chrome with the extension installed. Claude Code can now call neuron_screenshot, neuron_security_scan, neuron_profile_scanner, and 174 more tools.

Multi-profile support

Run different Chrome profiles connected to different bridge instances. Each profile can be logged into a different social media account with fully isolated data (leads, monitors, recipes, collections).

Set the bridge port per Chrome profile

Each bridge instance stores leads, monitors, recipes, and collections in its own directory. Default is ~/.neuron/ for single-profile users.

  • Capture is opt-in per tab. No telemetry, no cloud services, no data leaves your machine. All business intelligence data persists locally in ~/.neuron/.
