Post a WhatsApp Status / Story that reaches your synced contacts for 24 hours.
A WhatsApp Status (Story) is an update — text, image, video, or voice note — visible to your contacts for 24 hours. Unlike a broadcast or newsletter you never pick recipients: Neuron builds the audience automatically from the account's synced contacts (excluding anyone flagged Do-Not-Broadcast). Status posting requires a connected direct (Baileys) session — the Meta Business API has no Status product.
Open Conversations, click Compose, then switch to the "Post Story" tab. Pick a connected direct session, type text (choose a background colour) or attach an image, video, or voice note, and click Post Story. It reaches your contacts within seconds.
Post a status programmatically. Account token: POST /api/v1/account/status. Bot API key: POST /api/v1/bot-api/status (or the action post_to_status). channelId is optional — it auto-resolves to your default / first connected direct session. Provide at least one of text or mediaUrl; messageType is text | image | video | audio. For text statuses you may pass backgroundColor (hex) and font (0–9). Pass statusJidList only to target a subset of contacts.
Post a text status (account token)
curl -X POST https://api.neuron.ng/api/v1/account/status \
-H "Authorization: Bearer nrn_acc_YOUR_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"text":"We are live 🎉","backgroundColor":"#22C55E"}'Use neuron_post_to_status from Claude or any MCP client. Provide text and/or mediaUrl; channelId auto-resolves. You never list recipients — the audience is your synced contacts.
